Animals Lebanon received an urgent email about baby bat Luna, who was in desperate need of help as she was too weak to use her wings. She was quickly taken to a specialized vet for a check-up and placed in a foster home where she could receive the care and nourishment she needed to regain her strength.
Despite being unable to fly, Luna’s determination was evident as she loved climbing everywhere she could, building her confidence and muscles. Her hard work paid off, and soon she spread her little bat wings and took to the sky.
When the day came for Luna to be released into the wild, her foster family didn’t know what to expect. However, to their delight, Luna returned that very night, and she has been coming back every night since then.
She receives food and water, and even has her own cozy “casita.” Luna is truly living the best of both worlds, enjoying the freedom of the wild while also being cared for by her devoted rescuer.
