Rolls-Royce Boat Tail:

We constantly want to make our children happy by providing them with whatever they ask for since we adore them. However, what would you do if your child requested the most costly car ever? This creative Vietnamese father built his son a wooden Rolls-Royce Boat Tail. And all we can do is hope we were as inventive as he was so we could build the car of our children’s dreams.

Truong Van Dao is a skilled woodworker who can create anything out of scrap material. However, his son’s miniature versions of premium cars are his most stunning creations. He had previously constructed a miniature Lamborghini Sian Roadster and a BMW 328 Hommage out of wood. Furthermore, they are actual working wooden cars, not just imitations. His most recent endeavor is creating a functioning miniature wood Rolls-Royce Boat Tail replica. The current vehicle presently holds the top rank as the priciest car in the world, with a staggering price of $28 million.

Dao, like with his previous wooden car replicas, posts a process video of the entire process on his over 1 million subscriber strong YouTube channel, ND Woodworking Art.The miniature Rolls-Royce copy is equipped with a steering wheel, headrests, dashboard, functional LED headlights and taillights, and swiveling rear-view mirrors. A custom set of glassware, an umbrella, and some cans of orange juice are revealed when the butterfly trunk opens in a theatrically sweeping fashion. Even the wheels are constructed from scrap wood and have rubber treads on them.

Dao uploads a video of the full woodworking process, including cutting, gluing, sanding, and polishing, on YouTube. Additionally, the battery-powered motor in the wooden Rolls-Royce Boat Tail allows his son to take as many leisurely drives as he likes. He worked on the kid-sized functional automobile for 68 days, finishing it off with the recognizable bonnet ornament sculpture (Spirit of Ecstasy) on the hood and the iconic “RR” insignia under the grill.
