A 7-year-Old shelter dog is confused when her family gives her up.

One shelter dog in particular stood out when a group of dogs were transported from the crowded Habersham County Animal Shelter in Georgia to The Little Guild in West Cornwall, Connecticut.

The workers at the shelter knew straight away that Jodi was special, and after speaking with the manager of the shelter in Habersham County, Georgia, they found out that everyone in the state had felt the same way.

@littleguild 7 yr old Jodi is the absolute best dog. She likes kids, cats, and dogs. She loves going on walks, car rides or just chillin on the couch. She would be an amazing member of your family! According to Kelsey Turick, a worker at The Little Guild, “Jodi meant a lot to the employees and volunteers from their shelter.” When volunteers learned that we were going to take Jodi in and find her a home, they sobbed.

shelter dog Jodi, who had lived with her family for seven years, was turned over to the shelter in Georgia. She was nervous and unsure of what was going on when she arrived at The Little Guild, and the staff members who welcomed her could see she didn’t know where her family had gone.

According to what Turick shared, “[She] was quite afraid when she first got here, and all she wanted to do was go home.” Since then, Jodi has adapted to her new environment considerably better and formed relationships with staff members and volunteers.

She has grown to trust her new pals, which has enabled her amazing personality to emerge, making everyone fall even more in love with her.

She always wants to be around people and has a wonderful attitude, according to Turick. She enjoys playing fetch outside as well as cuddling up with you beneath a blanket.

Although she is older, she still has a lot of energy and enjoys taking daily walks. She is a really remarkable young lady and is very important to us.

It’s incredible that Jodi hasn’t been adopted yet, especially considering how well she would fit in with practically any family. She adores children, cats, and other dogs and truly just wants to spend time with her loved ones whenever she can.

She has received interest in adoption, and a family is scheduled to meet her, so maybe her search for a home will be completed very soon. All of Jodi’s friends in Georgia and Connecticut are eagerly waiting for her to find the right family.
