Gina Gibson was about a month and a half away from being evicted from her house. Even though the house was in need of some repairs, Gina never considered selling it or moving away from it because it was virtually everything she owned at the time.
However, her neighbors were of the opinion that the location lacked the appropriate elements that would fulfill the housing laws. As a result, they lodged a number of complaints requesting that her property be condemned because of these concerns.
Because the amount of time she had left to do the repairs was much too short and she did not have the money, she made the decision to seek the community for assistance because she did not have either of those resources.
Life seems to find a way to help us when we need it the most. Just when Gina thought she had lost everything, luck knocked on her door. But this time, good fortune came in the form of thirty total strangers who were more than pleased to assist this grandma in her time of need. The end product was nothing short of astonishing.
Gina awoke one morning to the sound of peculiar noises emanating from the vicinity of her home. Because she had no idea what might have been going on, she started to feel a little anxious about the situation.
She went to investigate because she was intrigued, and when she did, she was met with the shock of a lifetime. People could be seen standing around outside, getting ready to begin the process of rebuilding the house.
Members of the Claycomo Ford Plants UAW 249 motorcycle committee decided to show up with enough people to do the necessary repairs she needed to rebuild her siding and gutters, and the community answered her call for help.
Gina was completely taken aback by what she saw. Her supplications were heard and granted. “Before this, I was getting to the point where I didn’t believe in people too much, but this has completely restored my trust in humanity.”
